Negotiations to save his life sadly failed, and this brutal execution was carried out. Jordan made efforts to negotiate a safe outcome, looks like they failed on this occasion. Probably less shocking than previous executions by knife or sword, but brutal all the same. The new ISIS video of Moaz Al-Kasasbeh aka Muath al-Kasaesbeh being brutally executed is sobering for us all, and we can be thankful not to be in such a predicament.
Mr Al Kasasbeh died for our free speech. He is a martyr. These events are very sad, and we should all work towards making the world a better place through free speech understanding and peace. Jordan has now threatened to execute all their ISIS prisoners, in revenge for this killing. Whether this will be a productive move remains to be seen, it is likely to lead to more bloodshed. The people of Jordan must be very angry right now, but hopefully they can work positively to resolve the issues around IS, with the rest of the world.
